Founded in 2002 as Stoke Climsland WFC, the club transferred to Callington Town for the start of the 07/08 season. Aswell as the women's football team, Callington Town FC also boasts three mens teams and has close links with Callington Colts - one of the largest youth development football setups in the county. Upon reaching the age of 16 the colts girls often progress into the ladies football side.
As part of a Chartered Standard Club Callington LFC receive FA qualified coaching and a whole host of other benifits including; funding, the use of excellent facilities, and the opportunity for coaches and players to participate in outside training schemes.
Callington LFC plays it games at Ginsters Marshfield Parc, also home to the 1st and 2nd mens sides. The pitch is set within the grounds of Callington Community College - a high acheiving sports college which boasts fantastic facilities. During the summer months CTLFC train outside on the college's athletics field, and during the winter they use the 3G - a £1 million floodlit all-weather astroturf pitch.
The team currently plays in the second division of the Amity Cornwall Women's Football League. They are a friendly side and welcome new players of all standards. For more information contact Adam or Kate.
